Lady Gaga - Alejandro 

Not sure how I feel about this yet. It was stylish & visually appealing, but I also felt like I was watching a Steven Klein photoshoot featuring Lady Gaga where Alejandro just happened to be playing. Klein’s style has changed recently & I haven’t responded to it as intensely as I used to. I’ve been disappointed with some of his shoots over the past year or so, so that’s affecting my reaction. I may also have trouble connecting to this video because I’m not a fan of the song. What I had hoped though, is that the video would have helped me connect to the song. Paparazzi wasn’t my favourite song before the video & now I adore it. Still, it is undeniably visually stunning, and like Aguilera’s Not Myself Tonight, the 1990s Madonna homage in Alejandro is noticeable & lovely. I love any pop star who knows & respects her music video roots.
